DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the EAA Chapter 302 website. Our chapter is located at Conroe North Houston Regional Airport [KCXO] in Conroe\, Texas. Meetings are held every 2nd Saturday at Galaxy FBO starting at 10:00 am. The Galaxy FBO entrance is off Loop 336\, south of the main airport entrance. Our membership is one of varied interests and skill levels\, devoted to aircraft construction\, maintenance\, and safe flying adherence. \n\n\n\n\nBackgrounds of our membership are a large cross-section of aviation diversity; including beginning pilots\, corporate\, general aviation\, military\, and airline pilots. Members are constructing aircraft in nearly all methods of construction. We have flight advisors as well as technical counselors that are helpful in sheet metal construction\, tube and fabric\, and welding techniques. The knowledge base of our total membership in aircraft construction is thorough and of wide experience. \n\n\n\n\nChapter 302 has an active Young Eagles program and we invite any youngster to participate with parent or guardian involvement. \n\n\n\n\nIn addition to our aircraft activities\, many members of our chapter are happily involved in various social functions that the chapter schedules. We gather together for the purpose sharing stories from our various levels of experience.  We encourage all pilots to get out and receive as much training training as possible to stay proficient in the VMC as well as the IMC environment. We also highly encourage those with IFR ratings to become current again and use their rating as much as possible.  \n\n\n\n\nThe meetings are about learning from each other and sharing our flying experiences through organized hangar flying. We encourage pilots to fly and have fun using their flying privileges. \n\n\n\n\nAll pilots flying and non-flying are invited to join our meetings. \n\n\n\n\nThe IMC/VMC Safety Forum meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 19:00.  Our venue will be announced through the EAA Chapter 302 newsletter\, EAA Calendar and FAA Announcements. DESCRIPTION:Airport Users\, \n  \nRunway incursions remain a serious concern nationally. One important component of our ongoing efforts to improve surface safety at CXO Airport involves conducting a Runway Safety Action Team (RSAT) meeting at least once each year. In conjunction with airport management\, we will be conducting a local RSAT meeting on May 28\, 2025.  The meeting is scheduled for 12:15 P.M.  and will be held at the Convention Center in the Yellow Rose Room. \nThe purpose of this RSAT meeting is to unite those individuals and organizations that are actively involved in air traffic operations and movement of aircraft\, vehicles\, and equipment on the Airport Operations Area (AOA). We look for participation from all major airport interests including tenants\, fixed base operators\, airport operations and maintenance personnel. Participants are asked to help develop recommendations and solutions to enhance surface safety. Those recommendations serve as the foundation for a site-specific Runway Safety Action Plan. Members are constructing aircraft in nearly all methods of construction. We have flight advisors as well as technical counselors that are helpful in sheet metal construction\, tube and fabric\, and welding techniques. The knowledge base of our total membership in aircraft construction is thorough and of wide experience. \n\n\n\n\nChapter 302 has an active Young Eagles program and we invite any youngster to participate with parent or guardian involvement. \n\n\n\n\nIn addition to our aircraft activities\, many members of our chapter are happily involved in various social functions that the chapter schedules. SUMMARY:EAA Chapter 302 IMC/VMC Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Our Mission: \n\n\n“The IMC/VMC Safety Forum is basically a safety meeting promoting Aviation Safety and Proficiency. We gather together for the purpose sharing stories from our various levels of experience.  We encourage all pilots to get out and receive as much training training as possible to stay proficient in the VMC as well as the IMC environment. We also highly encourage those with IFR ratings to become current again and use their rating as much as possible.  \n\n\n\n\nThe meetings are about learning from each other and sharing our flying experiences through organized hangar flying. We encourage pilots to fly and have fun using their flying privileges. \n\n\n\n\nAll pilots flying and non-flying are invited to join our meetings. \n\n\n\n\nThe IMC/VMC Safety Forum meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 19:00.  Our venue will be announced through the EAA Chapter 302 newsletter\, EAA Calendar and FAA Announcements.
